Good news – yes! Thanks to their flexibility and mechanical resistance flexible conduits can be installed underground to protect utilities against damage, tampering and weathering.. Flexible conduits come in extremely useful and offer a host of safety features, including corrosion, flame and water resistance.
There are millions of miles of cables in the UK so leaving them on the surface would be virtually impossible – and a bit of a trip hazard! Flexible conduits, buried underground, make a far safer and neater alternative. They are often used for longer runs as they are quicker to install than their rigid counterparts.
When pipes and cables are buried, they should be laid in a duct. The coil will contain a draw cord that enables pipes or cables to be pulled through once it’s installed. Coils can then be joined together using loose couplers.

Underground flexible conduit is great. It’s made from HDPE by a twin-extrusion process – meaning that two pipes are extruded simultaneously, one inside the other, and heat welded in one continuous process. It has a corrugated exterior and smoother inner core.
This flexible conduit is one of the most robust and offers high chemical and water resistance, allowing installation even if irregularities in the ground are present.

They are available in 25 and 50m coil lengths and supplied in various diameters, ranging from 32-137mm on the interior, and 40-160mm on the exterior. All coils within this series are supplied complete with one conduit coupler per coil and the draw-cord pre-installed throughout.

Like the rest of our flexible conduits, our UGC series is available to browse online via our website, but the ordering process will be a little different, though.
They’re available for non-stocked special orders only – so if you’re after some of our twin walled underground burial conduits, you’ll have to enquire with us directly.
Depending on the size of your order, we may have to organise for you to come and collect your items due to their bulky size – but if you’re ordering mass quantities, delivery can be arranged.
